I am a board certified psychiatrist with additional training in psychotherapy. I received my medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed my adult psychiatry residency at Brown University.
Prior to entering private practice, I worked in an outpatient clinic at Mount Auburn Hospital and an inpatient unit at McLean Hospital. During my work at McLean Hospital, I became an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. I have additional training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.

I strongly believe that the best treatment incorporates both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. It is my goal to create an atmosphere of safety and comfort in which we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. In this setting, we can help understand the meaning of your emotions and experience, which can provide relief. As we explore your life and thoughts and gain a deeper understanding of your symptoms, we are also better able to evaluate suitable medication options and when those medications are appropriate. Treatment works best when you are committed to regular treatment and have a sense of curiosity about yourself that you wish to explore.
